Lacrosse is a beautiful and powerful sport, one which is marked by tremendous speed, quick decisions and constant action.  The players never stop moving and are constantly talking to each other...calling out plays and setting defenses.  For all that's going on,however, a game often turns on a single one-on-one battle.  A fleet-footed attack against a strong and crafty defender, or a cutting middie against a fearless goalie -- these are the battles that take place all game long and can make the difference between victory or defeat.

The photographing of lacrosse is all about trying to capture those decisive moments.  The moments when one of those battles is taking place, when a decision   is being made before explosive action occurs, or when you can look through the helmet mask to see the player underneath.  In the galleries below I've tried to capture those moments, whether they've taken place at a summer training camp or during the heat of a spring playoff run.

Select the gallery that you're looking for and enjoy the frozen moments of this beautiful game, and if you're so inclined you can purchase an image or two to remind yourself of those moments in time.  Thank you, and enjoy!

How to purchase an image or a package

Purchasing prints or digital downloads is easy.  From the gallery page (with all of the photos showing) you can click into any single image and you'll see some popular print size options, or you can click "See All Products" to choose from the full range of available options.

If you'd like to purchase multiple images you can click the "Buy" button at the top right of the gallery page, and you'll see an option to "Select photos to buy."  Choosing that will allow you to scroll through the gallery and mark the images you'd like to purchase.  When you're done selecting the ones you want, you can either click "Buy Selected," which will take you to the shopping cart for further steps, or you can choose "Save For Later" to save your selections as favorites to be reviewed at a later time.  (Please note that you'll need to register with the site to save favorites for later.)

Finally, if you'd like to purchase a package (usually a combination of prints sizes or prints and digital downloads) you can click on the first image you like.  When you have the option on the right side of the page to "See All Products," and review the available packages.  Click on your choice, and on the left-hand side of the screen you'll see three options for choosing images to fill the package: "Selected" shows any images you had previously checked from the gallery page.  "Favorites" will show images you had selected and Saved for Later or that you had "hearted" from the gallery.  Or you can just select "All" and choose from any image in the gallery.  From there you just drag the image you'd like from the left side of the screen to fill the open slots in the package.  When you're done choosing you can go to your shopping cart to review your choices, make changes to the cropping on any image, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: Some images may work better at different print sizes.  If a package doesn't include the native size of the image, you can adjust the cropping of the image from the shopping cart.  Just select "Edit" next to the thumbnail of the image.  You'll be shown how the image will print with the option to "Edit Crop" showing just below the image.  Selecting that will bring up a page where you can adjust the way the image fits the size print you've selected.  If you absolutely have to have the image at it's native size, you may need to purchase it separately from any package.

If you're having any issues with selecting images, building or filling a package or cropping an image, don't hesitate to get in touch and I'll help you out.
